Dr. Eric David Lund Memorial Scholarship

The Dr. Eric David Lund Memorial Scholarship for $500 was established in memory of Dr. Lund by his parents, Dr. and Mrs. David Lund.  Dr. Lund was a chemistry teacher for five years at the Chesapeake Bay Governor’s School – Bowling Green Campus.  He also taught foundations of science and assisted students in the area of statistics.  Prior to coming to CBGS Dr. Lund was a research associate at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science in Gloucester, VA. 


- Possess a minimum G.P.A. of 3.5 (B+) over their three years at CBGS
- Submit evidence of a commitment to school and community service 


Applications should be completed with care and attention to detail. Your essay represents you. It should be typed, double-spaced and free of grammatical errors. A school transcript must accompany the application. Attach a letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor or principal. The Scholarship Screening Committee will interview the final candidates. Applications should be submitted to the CBGS Education Foundation. The full application must be 100% submitted by the last day in April. It is the responsibility of the student to meet the due date. 

Note: The $500 scholarship will be awarded to the student at Senior Night. Quotations from the winner’s application may be used in the CBGS and/or CBGS Education Foundation’s Annual Reports.
